Dr. Teresa Bascom's life began in Redding, PA. She learned to
crawl and walk in Pennsylvania, and then ran thru Texas, Massachusetts, Washington and
Michigan as her father's occupation took them across the nation. In Washington and
Michigan, she attended and completed her high school education.
Dr. Bascom's college years
were spent at Atlantic Union College in Massachusetts and Andrews University in Michigan.
She attended medical school at Loma Linda University in California, graduating in 1996.
After completing residency at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan she moved to
Dallas to practice in Garland with her current partners. In 2008 along with Dr. Lux and Dr. Salter,
she left a larger obstetrics-gynecological practice to start Advanced Ob-Gyn
Associates in the Dallas, TX area. This has been a very exciting and fulfilling change for this practice.

Dr. Teresa Bascom's ob-gyn practice encompasses routine and high risk obstetrics, infertility, gynecology,
office based procedures, major and minor gynecological surgical procedures, urological
treatments, as well as offering treatment for pre-cancerous and cancerous conditions. She
interfaces with specialists in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology and
Gynecologic Oncology.
New, innovative treatments for common conditions women experience are
of particular interest to her. She offers options for procedures that have lower risks of side
effects and may be performed in the office setting, allowing women to take less time off of
work.
With a daughter lighting her life, Dr. Bascom is learning to integrate motherhood
with her practice. She does
find great benefit in relieving stress and improving overall well-being with yoga and
walking. Travel and new restaurants are two of her favorite things.
